Our client is part of an international group, providing machines and systems for the carbon, glass fibre, textile and plastics industries. With several locations worldwide and many years of experience, the group sets standards in quality, efficiency and innovation with customized machine concepts.
The group company located in Northern Italy is a global leader specialised in the development and production of extrusion lines and machineries for rope and twines. The technologically most demanding equipments are used in the processing of technical yarns, straps, tapes and monofilaments.

Your tasks:

• Drive innovation and new developments in line with industry trends and customer needs
• Lead and coordinate the technical department (Mechanical, Electrical, Software)
• Promote modularity and cost-effective product solution
• Oversee product development, ensure compliance with cost, time, quality, and safety standards
• Apply Design-to-Cost and Design-for-Manufacturing principles
• Identify and implement process improvements and organizational changes
• Develop and mentor team members while fostering cross-departmental communication
• Define the strategic product plan in collaboration with management
• Develop new technologies in the area of raw materials and technological advancements
• Support sales with technical and commercial proposals
• Work closely within the group with project management, purchasing and production teams to ensure successful project execution

Your profile:

• Entrepreneurial leadership personality with strategic vision, analytical competence, high innovative strength paired with pronounced customer orientation and a high degree of personal responsibility
• Successfully completed an engineering degree (MSc preferred)
• Many years of experience in product development and design in mechanical engineering
• Proven success in the strategic development of departments, structures and processes
• Several years of leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge of product development and design of mechatronic systems
• Enthusiasm for leadership, development and motivation of employees
• Strong cost awareness and experience in implementing Design-to-Cost projects
• Business fluent in Italian and English, German is an advantage
